Balinese Script
Balinese Script is a writing system used primarily for the Balinese language, which is spoken on the island of Bali in Indonesia. This script is an abugida, meaning each character represents a consonant with an inherent vowel sound. It has its roots in the ancient Brahmi script and is characterized by its unique, flowing shapes.
The script is used in various contexts, including religious texts, literature, and everyday communication. Although its usage has declined with the rise of the Latin alphabet, efforts are being made to preserve and promote Balinese Script as an important part of Bali's cultural heritage.
