Javanese Calendar
The Javanese Calendar is a traditional calendar system used primarily in Java, Indonesia. It combines elements of the Islamic lunar calendar and the Gregorian solar calendar, resulting in a unique system that consists of 12 months. Each month has either 29 or 30 days, and the calendar is used for agricultural, cultural, and religious purposes.
In addition to the months, the Javanese Calendar features a five-day week called Pasaran, which includes the days Legi, Pahing, Pon, Wage, and Kliwon. This system influences various aspects of daily life, including ceremonies, market days, and traditional events in Javanese culture.
