Balinese Calendar
The Balinese Calendar is a unique timekeeping system used in Bali, Indonesia. It consists of two main calendars: the Saka Calendar, which is a lunar calendar, and the Wuku Calendar, a 210-day cycle that combines both lunar and solar elements. The Wuku Calendar is divided into 30 weeks, each with its own significance and rituals.
In addition to these calendars, the Balinese also observe various religious and cultural events based on the lunar phases. This system plays a crucial role in scheduling ceremonies, festivals, and agricultural activities, reflecting the island's rich traditions and spiritual beliefs.
