Japanese Self-Defense Forces
The Japanese Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) are the military forces of Japan, established in 1954. Their primary purpose is to ensure national security and respond to emergencies, such as natural disasters. The JSDF consists of three branches: the Ground Self-Defense Force, the Maritime Self-Defense Force, and the Air Self-Defense Force.
The JSDF operates under a pacifist constitution, which limits its military capabilities. However, it has participated in international peacekeeping missions and humanitarian efforts. The forces are well-trained and equipped, focusing on defense rather than offensive military operations, reflecting Japan's commitment to peace and stability in the region.
