Air Self-Defense Force
The Air Self-Defense Force (ASDF) is the aerial branch of the Japan Self-Defense Forces, responsible for the defense of Japan's airspace. Established in 1954, it operates various aircraft, including fighter jets, transport planes, and helicopters, to ensure national security and respond to emergencies.
The ASDF conducts air patrols, disaster relief operations, and international peacekeeping missions. It collaborates with other military branches and engages in joint exercises with allied forces, enhancing its capabilities and readiness to protect Japan's interests in the region and beyond.
