Japanese Baseball League
The Japanese Baseball League, officially known as the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), is the highest level of professional baseball in Japan. Established in 1950, it consists of two main leagues: the Central League and the Pacific League. Each league features six teams, and the season typically runs from March to October, culminating in the Japan Series to determine the national champion.
The NPB is known for its passionate fan base and unique traditions, such as the use of cheerleaders and organized chants. Many players from the NPB have successfully transitioned to Major League Baseball (MLB) in the United States, further enhancing the league's international reputation.
