Jansangh
Jansangh was a political party in India, founded in 1951 by Syama Prasad Mukherjee. It aimed to promote the interests of Hindus and advocate for a unified India, opposing the partition that had occurred in 1947. The party sought to establish a strong national identity and was known for its emphasis on cultural nationalism.
In 1977, Jansangh merged with other parties to form the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has since become one of the major political parties in India. The legacy of Jansangh continues to influence the BJP's policies and ideology, particularly in matters of national integrity and cultural pride.
