Jan Zelezny
Jan Železný is a retired Czech javelin thrower, widely regarded as one of the greatest in the sport's history. Born on June 16, 1966, he set the world record for javelin throw with a distance of 98.48 meters in 1996, a record that still stands today. Throughout his career, he won three Olympic gold medals in 1992, 1996, and 2000.
Železný also achieved significant success in the World Championships, securing gold medals in 1987, 1993, and 1995. His technique and consistency made him a dominant figure in athletics during the 1990s. After retiring, he transitioned into coaching and remains influential in the sport.
