James Webb
The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is a large, space-based observatory designed to observe the universe in infrared light. Launched on December 25, 2021, it is a collaboration between NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA). JWST aims to study the formation of stars, galaxies, and planetary systems, providing insights into the early universe.
JWST features a large primary mirror, measuring 6.5 meters in diameter, which allows it to capture faint light from distant objects. Its advanced instruments enable scientists to analyze the atmospheres of exoplanets and explore the origins of life, making it a key tool for modern astronomy.
