James Foley
James Foley was an American journalist known for his coverage of conflicts in the Middle East, particularly in Syria. He was born on October 18, 1983, in Rochester, New Hampshire. Foley worked for various media outlets, including GlobalPost, where he reported on the civil war in Syria and other significant events in the region.
In 2012, while covering the war, Foley was kidnapped by ISIS militants. His captivity lasted nearly two years, and he was tragically executed in August 2014. His death drew international attention to the dangers faced by journalists and the ongoing conflict in Syria.
