James Brady
James Brady was an American political figure best known for his role as the White House Press Secretary under President Ronald Reagan. He was born on August 29, 1940, and became a prominent advocate for gun control after surviving an assassination attempt in 1981, which left him permanently disabled.
Following the shooting, Brady and his wife, Sarah Brady, founded the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, which aimed to promote stricter gun laws in the United States. His efforts significantly influenced public policy and raised awareness about gun violence until his passing on August 4, 2022.
