James Bonham
James Bonham was an American soldier and a key figure in the Texas Revolution. Born in 1807 in South Carolina, he moved to Texas in the early 1830s. Bonham is best known for his role at the Battle of the Alamo, where he fought alongside other defenders, including William B. Travis and Davy Crockett.
During the siege of the Alamo in 1836, Bonham served as a courier, delivering messages between the besieged defenders and the Texian army. He was known for his bravery and commitment to the cause of Texan independence. Bonham died in battle on March 6, 1836, and is remembered as a hero in Texas history.
