Jambolan
Jambolan, also known as Java plum or Syzygium cumini, is a tropical fruit native to the Indian subcontinent and parts of Southeast Asia. The fruit is small, oval-shaped, and typically dark purple to black when ripe. It has a sweet and slightly astringent flavor, making it popular for eating fresh or using in jams and jellies.
The jambolan tree can grow up to 30 meters tall and features glossy green leaves. It thrives in warm climates and is often found in forests and along roadsides. Additionally, the tree is valued for its medicinal properties, particularly in traditional medicine for managing diabetes and digestive issues.
