Jamaat-ud-Dawa
Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) is a Pakistan-based organization founded in 1987, primarily known for its humanitarian work and social services. It is often associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba, a militant group implicated in various attacks, including the 2008 Mumbai attacks. JuD claims to focus on education, health, and disaster relief, operating numerous schools and hospitals across Pakistan.
The organization has been designated as a terrorist group by several countries and international bodies, including the United States and the United Nations. Despite its humanitarian claims, JuD has faced scrutiny for its alleged links to extremism and its role in promoting anti-India sentiments.
