Jacques DeMolay
Jacques DeMolay was the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar, a medieval Christian military order founded in 1119. He led the order during a time of great turmoil and was known for his dedication to the Templar cause, which included protecting pilgrims traveling to the Holy Land.
In 1307, DeMolay and many Templars were arrested by King Philip IV of France, who sought to eliminate the order and seize its wealth. DeMolay was tried for heresy and other charges, ultimately being executed in 1314. His death marked the end of the Knights Templar and has made him a symbol of martyrdom and loyalty.
