Jack Miner
Jack Miner was a Canadian conservationist and ornithologist, born on April 10, 1865, in Ontario. He is best known for his work in protecting migratory birds and their habitats. Miner founded the Jack Miner Bird Sanctuary in 1904, which became a significant site for bird conservation efforts.
Throughout his life, Miner advocated for wildlife protection and was instrumental in the establishment of laws to safeguard birds. He is often referred to as the "Father of Canadian Wildlife Conservation" for his pioneering efforts in promoting the importance of preserving natural ecosystems and the species that inhabit them.
