Roger Tory Peterson
Roger Tory Peterson was an influential American naturalist, ornithologist, and artist, best known for his work in bird identification. Born on August 28, 1908, he created the first field guide to birds, titled A Field Guide to the Birds, which revolutionized the way people observed and identified birds in the wild.
