JPSS
The Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) is a series of weather satellites developed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). These satellites are designed to monitor and collect data on Earth's atmosphere, oceans, and land, providing critical information for weather forecasting and climate research.
JPSS satellites operate in polar orbits, allowing them to observe the entire Earth as it rotates. They carry advanced instruments that measure temperature, humidity, and other atmospheric conditions, which help improve the accuracy of weather predictions and enhance our understanding of climate change.
