JKN
JKN, or Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional, is Indonesia's national health insurance program aimed at providing comprehensive healthcare coverage for all citizens. Launched in 2014, it is designed to ensure that everyone has access to necessary medical services, including preventive, curative, and rehabilitative care.
The program is managed by BPJS Kesehatan, the Social Security Agency for Health, which collects contributions from participants and the government. JKN covers a wide range of health services, from outpatient care to hospitalization, making it a crucial component of Indonesia's efforts to improve public health and reduce financial barriers to healthcare access.
