Italian Republican Party
The Italian Republican Party (Partito Repubblicano Italiano, or PRI) is a political party in Italy founded in 1895. It promotes liberal and republican values, advocating for civil rights, social justice, and economic development. The party has historically played a role in Italian politics, often aligning with centrist and progressive coalitions.
Throughout its history, the PRI has faced challenges, including declining influence and internal divisions. Despite this, it has contributed to significant political movements and reforms in Italy, particularly during the post-World War II era, when it participated in the formation of the Italian Republic and the drafting of the Italian Constitution.
