Issyk-Kul Lake
Issyk-Kul Lake is a large saltwater lake located in the eastern part of Kyrgyzstan. It is the second-largest alpine lake in the world and is situated at an elevation of about 1,607 meters (5,272 feet) above sea level. The lake is surrounded by the towering Tian Shan mountains, which contribute to its stunning scenery and unique ecosystem.
The lake has a surface area of approximately 6,236 square kilometers (2,404 square miles) and reaches depths of up to 668 meters (2,192 feet). Issyk-Kul is known for its warm waters, which do not freeze in winter, making it a popular destination for tourists seeking relaxation and outdoor activities throughout the year.
