Issyk-Kul
Issyk-Kul is a large, saline lake located in the eastern part of Kyrgyzstan. It is one of the largest alpine lakes in the world, situated at an elevation of about 1,607 meters (5,272 feet) above sea level. The lake is surrounded by the towering Tian Shan mountains, which provide stunning views and a unique ecosystem.
The lake has a maximum depth of approximately 668 meters (2,192 feet) and is known for its warm waters, which do not freeze in winter due to its high salinity. Issyk-Kul is a popular destination for tourists, offering various recreational activities such as swimming, sailing, and hiking in the nearby mountains.
