Israeli-Lebanese Relations
Israeli-Lebanese relations have been historically tense, primarily due to territorial disputes and conflicts involving Hezbollah, a militant group based in Lebanon. The two countries have never signed a peace treaty, and their border has been a site of military confrontations, particularly during the Lebanon War in 1982 and the 2006 conflict.
Despite the ongoing tensions, there have been occasional efforts at dialogue, especially regarding issues like maritime borders and resource exploration in the Mediterranean Sea. International mediators, including the United States, have sometimes facilitated discussions to ease tensions and promote stability in the region.
