Islamic Prayers
Islamic prayers, known as Salah, are a fundamental practice in the Islam faith. Muslims perform these prayers five times a day at specific times: dawn, noon, mid-afternoon, sunset, and night. Each prayer consists of a series of movements and recitations, including verses from the Quran, the holy book of Islam.
The prayers can be performed individually or in a group, with communal prayers often held in a mosque. Before praying, Muslims perform a ritual purification called Wudu to ensure cleanliness. Salah serves as a way to connect with Allah and seek guidance, forgiveness, and spiritual growth.
