Isabel of Coimbra
Isabel of Coimbra was a Portuguese princess born in 1432, the daughter of King John I of Portugal and Philippa of Lancaster. She became known for her intelligence and piety, and she was a significant figure in the royal court during her lifetime.
In 1447, Isabel married Philip the Good, the Duke of Burgundy, which strengthened ties between Portugal and the Burgundian Netherlands.
