Isabel de Warenne
Isabel de Warenne was a notable figure in medieval England, born around 1173. She was the daughter of William de Warenne, the 2nd Earl of Surrey, and Elizabeth de Vermandois. Isabel married Richard, 1st Earl of Cornwall, a brother of King Henry III, which strengthened her family's political connections.
Isabel played a significant role in the governance of her husband's estates and was known for her charitable works. After Richard's death in 1272, she became a widow and continued to manage her lands, demonstrating the influence and responsibilities women could hold during this period.
