Iron Guard
The Iron Guard was a far-right political movement in Romania, founded in the 1920s. It was known for its nationalist and anti-communist ideology, promoting a vision of a Romania based on Orthodox Christian values and traditionalism. The group gained popularity during the interwar period and was involved in various violent acts against political opponents.
The Iron Guard was led by Corneliu Zelea Codreanu, who emphasized the importance of youth and spiritual renewal. The movement's influence waned after World War II, particularly following the rise of the communist regime in Romania, which suppressed its activities and ideology.
