Irish National War Memorial Gardens
The Irish National War Memorial Gardens are located in Islandbridge, Dublin, and were designed to honor the memory of the Irish soldiers who fought in World War I. The gardens were officially opened in 1939 and feature beautiful landscaping, including a variety of trees, flowers, and pathways that create a serene environment for reflection.
At the center of the gardens stands the Memorial itself, which includes a striking stone structure and a series of bronze sculptures. The site also contains a Roll of Honor listing the names of over 49,000 Irish soldiers who lost their lives during the war, serving as a poignant reminder of their sacrifice.
