Irish Mammals
Ireland is home to a variety of mammals, both native and introduced. Some of the most common native species include the red fox, badger, and Irish hare. These mammals thrive in diverse habitats, from forests to grasslands, and play important roles in the ecosystem.
In addition to native species, Ireland has several introduced mammals, such as the grey squirrel and rabbit. These animals have adapted well to their new environment, but they can sometimes compete with native species for resources. Conservation efforts are in place to protect Ireland's unique mammal populations and their habitats.
