Iqbal Masih
Iqbal Masih was a Pakistani child laborer who became a prominent activist against child exploitation. Born in 1983, he was sold into bonded labor at a young age, working in carpet factories. After escaping, he began to speak out against child labor, raising awareness about the harsh conditions faced by many children in Pakistan.
His efforts gained international attention, and he became a symbol of the fight against child labor. Tragically, Iqbal was murdered in 1995 at the age of 12, but his legacy continues to inspire movements for children's rights, including organizations like Save the Children and UNICEF.
