Iowa Senate
The Iowa Senate is the upper chamber of the Iowa General Assembly, which is the legislative body of the state of Iowa. It consists of 50 members who are elected to serve four-year terms. The Senate is responsible for creating and passing state laws, as well as approving the state budget and confirming appointments made by the Governor of Iowa.
Each senator represents a specific district within the state, and the Senate operates under a set of rules and procedures to ensure orderly debate and decision-making. The leadership of the Senate includes the Senate President and the Majority Leader, who guide legislative priorities and manage the flow of legislation.
