Iowa Legislature
The Iowa Legislature is the legislative body of the state of Iowa, responsible for making laws and setting policies. It consists of two chambers: the Iowa House of Representatives and the Iowa Senate. Members of the House serve two-year terms, while Senators serve four-year terms.
The Legislature meets annually at the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines. During the session, lawmakers discuss and vote on various issues, including budgets, education, and healthcare. The process allows citizens to have a voice in their government through elected representatives.
