Invention Patents
Invention patents are legal protections granted to inventors for their unique creations. These patents give the inventor exclusive rights to make, use, and sell their invention for a specific period, usually 20 years. This encourages innovation by allowing inventors to benefit financially from their work without the fear of others copying their ideas.
To obtain an invention patent, the inventor must submit a detailed application to a patent office, such as the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The application must demonstrate that the invention is novel, non-obvious, and useful. Once granted, the patent helps safeguard the inventor's intellectual property rights.
