International Amphitheatre
The International Amphitheatre was a multi-purpose arena located in Chicago, Illinois. Opened in 1934, it was primarily used for events such as concerts, sports, and exhibitions. The venue could accommodate around 12,000 spectators and was known for hosting significant events, including the Democratic National Convention in 1968.
The amphitheatre featured a distinctive design with a large, open space and a high ceiling. It was a popular site for various entertainment events until its closure in the late 1990s. Although the building was eventually demolished, it remains a notable part of Chicago's architectural history.
