Interlingua
Interlingua is a constructed international auxiliary language developed in the early 20th century. It was created to facilitate communication among speakers of different languages, particularly those of Romance languages. The vocabulary of Interlingua is derived from common roots found in these languages, making it relatively easy for speakers of Spanish, Italian, French, and Portuguese to learn.
The language was officially launched in 1951 by the International Auxiliary Language Association. Its grammar is simplified compared to natural languages, allowing for straightforward sentence construction. Interlingua is used in various contexts, including literature, translation, and international communication, promoting understanding across linguistic barriers.
