Insurgencies
An insurgency is a movement aimed at overthrowing a government or occupying power through the use of irregular military tactics. Insurgents often operate in small groups and rely on guerrilla warfare, propaganda, and popular support to achieve their goals. These movements can arise from political, social, or economic grievances and may seek to establish a new government or change existing policies.
Insurgencies can occur in various contexts, including civil wars and foreign occupations. They often lead to prolonged conflicts, as governments struggle to maintain control while insurgents seek to gain territory and influence. Notable examples of insurgencies include the Vietnam War and the Iraqi Insurgency.
