Innu-aimun
Innu-aimun is the language spoken by the Innu people, an Indigenous group primarily located in Quebec and Labrador, Canada. It belongs to the Algonquian language family and is known for its rich oral tradition and connection to the culture and identity of the Innu.
The language has several dialects, including Naskapi and Sheshatshiu, which can vary in pronunciation and vocabulary. Efforts are being made to revitalize Innu-aimun through education and community programs, as it faces challenges from declining speakers and the influence of English and French.
