Inez Milholland
Inez Milholland was an American suffragist, labor lawyer, and public speaker born on August 6, 1886. She is best known for her role in the women's suffrage movement, advocating for women's right to vote in the early 20th century. Milholland gained national attention when she led a parade in Washington, D.C., on March 3, 1913, just before President Woodrow Wilson's inauguration, which highlighted the demand for women's voting rights.
Milholland was also a prominent figure in the National Woman's Party and worked alongside other notable suffragists like Alice Paul. Tragically, her life was cut short when she died on November 25, 1916, while campaigning for women's suffrage in California.
