Indonesian House of Representatives
The Indonesian House of Representatives, known as Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat (DPR), is the lower house of the People's Consultative Assembly in Indonesia. It consists of members elected every five years, representing various political parties. The DPR plays a crucial role in legislation, budget approval, and oversight of the executive branch.
The House is composed of 575 members who are elected through a proportional representation system. It is responsible for discussing and passing laws, as well as monitoring the government's performance. The DPR also has the authority to propose amendments to the Indonesian Constitution.
