Indigenous Canadians
Indigenous Canadians are the original inhabitants of Canada, comprising three main groups: First Nations, Inuit, and Métis. They have diverse cultures, languages, and traditions that vary across different regions of the country. Indigenous peoples have a deep connection to the land and often engage in practices that reflect their historical and spiritual ties to nature.
Historically, Indigenous Canadians faced significant challenges due to colonization, which led to loss of land, culture, and autonomy. Today, many Indigenous communities are working to revitalize their languages and traditions while advocating for their rights and recognition within Canadian society.
