Indian Space Programs
India's space program, led by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), began in the early 1960s. It focuses on satellite development, launch vehicles, and space exploration. Notable achievements include the successful launch of the Mars Orbiter Mission in 2013, which made India the first Asian nation to reach Mars orbit.
ISRO has also developed various satellites for communication, weather forecasting, and earth observation. The PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) and GSLV (Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle) are key launch vehicles that have placed numerous satellites into orbit, contributing to both national and international space endeavors.
