Indian Police Service (IPS)
The Indian Police Service (IPS) is one of the three All India Services in India, responsible for maintaining law and order. IPS officers are tasked with various duties, including crime prevention, investigation, and ensuring public safety. They play a crucial role in the administration of justice and work closely with other law enforcement agencies.
To become an IPS officer, candidates must pass the Civil Services Examination, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Once selected, they undergo rigorous training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad, where they learn various aspects of policing and leadership.
