Indian Military Academy
The Indian Military Academy (IMA) is a premier training institution located in Dehradun, India. Established in 1932, it trains future leaders of the Indian Army through a rigorous curriculum that combines military training, academics, and physical fitness. The academy aims to develop officers who are not only skilled in warfare but also possess strong leadership qualities.
The IMA conducts a three-year training program for cadets, who are selected through the National Defence Academy (NDA) or direct entry schemes. Upon successful completion, cadets are commissioned as officers in the Indian Army, ready to serve the nation with honor and integrity.
