Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs)
The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are a group of autonomous public business schools in India, established to provide high-quality management education. They offer various programs, including the flagship Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM), which is equivalent to an MBA. IIMs are known for their rigorous selection process, primarily through the Common Admission Test (CAT).
There are currently 20 IIMs across India, with the first one established in Calcutta in 1961. These institutes focus on developing leadership and managerial skills, contributing significantly to the country's economic growth. IIM graduates are highly sought after in various industries, both nationally and internationally.
