Indian Institutes of Management
The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are a group of autonomous public business schools in India, established to provide high-quality management education. Founded in 1961, the first IIM was set up in Kolkata. Today, there are 20 IIMs across the country, each offering various postgraduate and doctoral programs in management and business administration.
IIMs are known for their rigorous selection process, primarily through the Common Admission Test (CAT), which assesses candidates' analytical and verbal skills. Graduates from IIMs often secure prestigious positions in top companies, making these institutions highly regarded in the field of management education both in India and globally.
