Indian Institutes Of Management
The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are a group of autonomous public business schools in India, established to provide high-quality management education. They offer various programs, including the prestigious Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM), which is equivalent to an MBA. IIMs are known for their rigorous selection process, primarily through the Common Admission Test (CAT), and their focus on developing leadership and managerial skills.
There are currently 20 IIMs across India, with the first one, IIM Calcutta, founded in 1961. These institutes are recognized for their academic excellence and have gained international acclaim. Many IIM graduates hold prominent positions in various industries, contributing significantly to the Indian economy.
