Indian Forest Service
The Indian Forest Service (IFS) is one of the three All India Services in India, established in 1966. It is responsible for the management of forests, wildlife, and natural resources in the country. IFS officers play a crucial role in implementing policies related to conservation, afforestation, and sustainable development.
To become an IFS officer, candidates must pass the Civil Services Examination, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The training includes a rigorous curriculum covering forestry, environmental science, and wildlife management, preparing officers to address various ecological challenges and promote biodiversity conservation across India.
