In-Group
An "In-Group" refers to a social group with which an individual identifies and feels a sense of belonging. Members of an in-group often share common interests, values, or characteristics, which can create strong bonds and a sense of community. This group can be based on various factors, such as culture, ethnicity, religion, or shared experiences.
In-groups can influence behavior and attitudes, often leading to favoritism towards fellow members. This can result in a sense of loyalty and support within the group, but it may also create divisions with out-groups, or those who do not belong to the in-group. Understanding in-groups is important in fields like sociology and psychology.
