Ilnacullin National Park
Ilnacullin National Park, also known as Garinish Island, is located in Bantry Bay, County Cork, Ireland. It is renowned for its stunning gardens and diverse plant life, featuring a variety of exotic species that thrive in the mild climate. The park covers approximately 37 acres and is accessible by ferry from the mainland.
The park was designed in the early 20th century by the architect Edward McDonnell and features beautiful walking paths, ornamental ponds, and unique structures like the Italian Garden and the Martello Tower. Visitors can enjoy scenic views of the surrounding bay and the nearby Sheep's Head Peninsula.
