Ileana Ros-Lehtinen
Ileana Ros-Lehtinen is a prominent American politician who served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1989 to 2019. She was the first Latina elected to Congress and represented Florida's 27th congressional district. Throughout her career, she focused on issues such as education, foreign policy, and human rights.
Born in Cuba in 1952, Ros-Lehtinen immigrated to the United States with her family in 1960. She has been an advocate for the Cuban-American community and has worked to promote democracy and freedom in Cuba.
